Spirit in the Sea

Roy Collins has managed to take something that he loves and make it into an art that creates a wave of emotion in the viewer.  After watching this I can see water in a much different way.  It does appear as a malleable solid rather than a free flowing liquid.  The lines, textures, light and angles are simply amazing.  This is a unique art form that is definitely what is cool in the world!

Expiring Art

This is very cool!  I can't imagine how anyone every came up with this as a type of art.  It is actually an art form and now I want to explore it a more!  If you want to see this one you will have to hurry because it is coming down in early March.

Made Possible by Frigid Temps!

It is often difficult to find the silver lining in extremes.  In many parts of the country this has been an extreme winter, whether it is bitter cold or ridiculous amounts of snow.  Based on social media posts it seems that a large portion of the population has grown weary of the winter weather that has brought more extreme cold and snow than can be remembered by most.  However, today's video would not be possible without unusually cold temps.  The view is amazing, even if you still aren't seeing the silver lining in this winter.

Perspective

Perspective changes everything.  People use that as a catch phrase, but I believe that it is entirely true. The video for today is proof of just how perspective influences your view of a situation or the world. This can be positive or negative.  I think that the way perspective is displayed in the video is genius and I respect anyone who has the kind of brain that can design something like this.  It is nothing short of amazing!

Horses and Healing

I have been intrigued by the idea of equine therapy for some time.  It is fairly well established that equine therapy has benefits for youngsters with Autism and physical disabilities.  In recent years I have seen applications for students with emotional/behavioral disorders, giving assistance with mood regulation and more.

This week I was introduced to the idea of healing the wounds of war through equine therapy.  One of the comments in the video is that we as a nation have a responsibility to help our soldiers returning from war to heal.  This is so simple and yet so profound.  It goes beyond posting flags on our social media and giving verbal support to veterans.  We really do have a responsibility to be a part of the healing process, and some are doing this is very creative ways.  Equine therapy for healing the wounds of war really is something that is cool in the world!

One Man's Trash!

It amazes me what people can come up with if given a challenge!  Is this the wave of the future?  I don't know, but there are some very practical applications.  The creativity displayed here is what keeps the world an interesting place to be.

Speechless.....

This story leaves me with few words.  It is longer than I usually post, but worth every moment.  This young man is an inspiration in so many ways.  As I watched this story I found myself thinking there was no way I could ever open my heart the way he does.  The resilience he shows is world class and his ability to heal, both physically and emotionally, is nothing short of amazing.  You will see positive attitude in action like never before.  This is definitely a story of what is cool in the world!

Genius Before Its Time

It is often said that there is a short journey between brilliance and madness.  For generations we have known that Van Gogh was a brilliant artist, but have your ever considered him a scientist?  Blending the worlds of math, art and science have brought about some amazing discoveries.  Watch and be amazed by the remarkable ways that genius and psychosis border one another.
